Angels


Reading to the angels
The written word of life

Knowing that the ears that hear
Serve me in that same life

Ministering spirits commissioned thus
To serve conforming sons

Listen now with eager hearts
These warring serving ones

Knowing that the words I read
Were written by their King

Knowing that the words I read
The same the angels sing

Reading now not to myself
As outward eyes might see

Reading now to angels' ears
I read to give them glee

What a difference it would make if we lived our lives moment by moment in the company of unseen angelic witnesses. These servants are ready to respond to our prayers, our insights, our initiatives as we surrender to the indwelling and out flowing work of the Holy Spirit in us. Imagine their response as we worship, I mean really worship! Imagine how they are reacting when we courageously speak truth into the darkness of lies. Wow, many times there's a party going on that we cannot see, yet we are the cause of it! Why not become alert to it and live in the light of it?
