Dream With Me (poem)
by Karl Sider
Dream with me now, yes look past your pain
Let yourself grasp, all you can gain
Sort out the small, prioritize now
Since Jesus is Lord, our wills we will bow
Cling not to this earth, our time here is short
We'll each have our day, our day in God's court
So what will it be, when you face the Judge
A Heart that's conformed, or still with a grudge
When I dream like this, my heart hits the heights
I soar on His wings, He wins all my fights
I dream of God's word, as food that I eat
I dream that His shoes, really fit my old feet
I dream that my hands, conformed unto His
Are scarred from my cross, and open like His
I dream that my feet, walk just as He walked
I dream that my lips, talk just as He talked
Can you dream with me, than let yourself go
Jump into the steam, get caught in its flow
Its waters can heal, hurts big and hurts small
It opens dry hearts, say yes to His call
