My Quiet Peace (poem)

My Quiet Peace
Born into this world of strife
I did not choose to live this life
Set upon this rocky shore
I deeply craved and wanted more
When Jesus reached into my life
I made my choice, I chose His life
He showed His love by giving more
He gave His all, His blood did pour
His bleeding hands, His feet, His side
Are to me my cleansing tide
Washing me from head to toe
Healing me within His flow
He set my feet upon His path
And warned me of His coming wrath
His word's a light unto my feet
To keep me safe from sin's defeat
He placed me in His body pure
A place to heal the heart for sure
A place with firm perimeters
His green pastures, by still waters
Now when the stormy waves grow high
I can see the devil's lie
When I stumble and I fall
He is there and gives His all
Jesus loves me this I know
For the Bible tells me so
I am weak but His is strong
He's fair but firm when I am wrong
My quiet peace in midst the storm
Reminding me of what is norm
His fellowship is sweet, so sweet
I live just for the day we'll meet
