Rolling the Stone Away (poem)
Rolling the Stone Away
Rolling the stone away
Determined to obey
The fears of death that slow me down
Will not get in the way
Rolling the stone away
While it is still today
The cords of death can not hold me
"Now resurrect" I say
Rolling the stone away
Heavy though it may be
Each bit it moves, my faith proves true
And fears erode away
Rolling the stone away
Opening up the grave
God's glory will be seen by all
By rolling the stone away
Rolling the stone away
Expecting to see decay
Opening anointed lips
And finding the words to say
Rolling the stone away
Speaking to the dry bones
Holding God firm to His word
And rolling the stone away
